You've probably read about our featured three fans - Stefan Hollensteiner, Christian Alexander Ervik Johnsen and Knermann - the Synergy website. Now I'd like to introduce one more to complete our IT professionals featured this year!
I would now like to introduce Gareth Murphy, CIO, London Overground Rail Operations, Ltd.
Gareth is responsible for operations and the provision of information and communication systems through the London Overground stations, depots and offices. The organization uses Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenServer and Citrix XenDesktop. Currently, Gareth oversees the proof of concept on XenApp 6 and XenDesktop 5.5, and is looking at using XenClient to provide a flexible but secure mobile solution to protect data and corporate networks.
The main reasons for attending Synergy Barcelona are learning and talking to knowledgeable people techniques Citrix and its partners, see how XenClient has developed over the last year and get the latest on virtualizing Citrix Access Gateway product. Gareth plans to attend sessions on XenApp 6.5 and XenClient Synchronizer FlexCast and hosted desktops, as well as sessions of the shared desktop transformation series.
