Dell today announced the immediate availability of an integrated VDI appliance that uses Citrix VDI-in-a -Box to virtual desktops as easy as assembling the building blocks. The Dell DVS Simplified appliance will be sold by force and Dell sales channels.

Why is this important? Because by coupling a simple, affordable and reproducible solution with the leading position that Dell has in the desktop market, we are now able to reach millions of customers who want to enjoy mobility, efficiency and flexibility of desktop virtualization.

the device is simple and affordable by combining VDI architecture VDI-in-a-Box network with the efficiency of Dell servers. Using the all-in-one VDI-in-a-Box, the device eliminates the need for separate connection brokers, provisioning servers, load balancers or external storage. VDI-in-a-Box is factory installed on the server, which is the hypervisor. Each device is validated and evaluated with the number of workstations it can serve. You just break together like most devices you need to increase capacity. Leveraging the efficiency of Dell servers, the cost per virtual desktop is less than $ 500, which makes it very affordable solution. And that price includes three years of support and maintenance.
