For those of you who do not know me, I'm Natalie Lambert and I CloudGateway Receiver and product marketing. Confused? I understand ... this is my second week on the team. For the last 2.5 years, I ran a product marketing group for XenDesktop. But now I'm ready for the next chapter and I'm super excited to join the team CloudGateway!
At this point you are probably wondering what is CloudGateway. Rather than dump product specifications on you, I'll put it in the context of a press release I read last week Gartner. It summarizes how the Personal Cloud will replace the traditional PC as the center of the digital life of users in 2014. Steve Kleynhans, research vice president at Gartner, said: "Major trends in client computing have changed the market away from a focus on personal computers to view the larger unit that includes smartphones, tablets and other consumer devices. "
Steve, I totally agree with you. It's not about the era" post-PC ". I think people want to do not abandon their PC. they want the freedom to use the devices, applications and data they want, when they want. For me, it was during my "get ready for work" routine, when I wake up, check email from my Galaxy Tab, head to the gym for spin class, check my iPhone, get ready for work, and drive to the office - about half the time, I have to open a Word doc, change something, and send it before arriving at the office. Now, IT companies do not want to prevent that, but they are linked by security requirements to control the IT environment. This is CloudGateway -.
