I tried to catch up with partners across today to get their views on the event up present. First place was Neil Spellings, who also heads our group of users in the UK, who was pleased with how technology labs were running, find the content useful and I hope now are not so cold as the battles he had with air conditioning!

Andy Nabbs and Al Penny BT Engage preferred place in Berlin and by lunch had already spoken to most of our CSP team so good to see what makes the most of their time. Apart from the demands of American-style coffee thermos flasks, as well as points for the pair included the split between intermediate and advanced technical sessions and the Summit mobile site. They would like more technical sessions well but I do not think we would have never put enough on that demand continues to build!

Jon Walsh IBM was excited after the keynote. It is fairly new to his role and tries to learn as much about Citrix technology and how it is part of IBM's offer as possible - and it is definitely the best place! Like many partners I spoke from the Keynote, he found the presentation by David Henshall be an extremely useful insight into the process of decision of a CFO. Jon is eager to help clients understand how virtualization technologies, cloud and networking can help make their businesses become more efficient. In his opinion, it was seen as a cost center and the barrier to change for too long and it is the type of technology that learns about at the summit to make a facilitator.

Dan Griffith to Arrow ECS found useful to hear more about the networking center products and data and developments since the acquisition Kaviza VDI-in-a-Box and GoToManage. In his view, the partners have found the presentation by David Henshall very useful

Finally, I came across Andy Nabbs again who thought the keynote demonstrated how Citrix has everything a partner needs -. Networks, desktops and kits of enforcement tools - for a partner to build a solution from end to end cloud if his tailor or hosted. And who am I to argue? 😉

Today, Citrix announced new features for our customers to help them reduce the time, effort and costs of deploying virtual desktops. The Citrix Desktop Transformation Model (DTM) is designed to allow customers to move from one optical device to the central office (eg a piece of hardware with an operating system, applications and data installed) to a centered perspective on people (for example, provide a desktop, applications and data as a service that can be accessed on any device).

The DTM starts with the priority of your business needs, and then using the company's priorities to define desktop virtualization projects for your users. Today, we have expanded the DTM to provide technical guidance and specific tools for the IT team. We provide advice in three areas - assessment, design and deployment of your virtual desktop projects. Specifically, we help our clients with the following:

• Where do I begin to start planning for my virtual desktop projects?

The Citrix Virtual Desktop Assessment Tool is designed to do. Offered through an agreement with our partner, Lakeside Software, the Virtual Desktop Assessment provides a quiet, easy to install the tool that analyzes each physical workstation to allow you to set the Citrix model FlexCast the basic Windows image to use your applications and segments into three segments (1) applications for a base image (2) virtualize apps and simplify access and (3) applications that you deploy do today.   the best way to do that is to really understand the DNA of your applications as you move from existing platforms, such as Windows XP and Vista to Windows 7 as part of the transformation of your virtual office. Today we announced that Citrix has signed a definitive agreement to acquire App-DNA. The platform App-DNA AppTitude provides the ability to analyze your application portfolio (the one that was discovered automatically for you by the Citrix Virtual Desktop Assessment Tool), quickly determine which applications, if any, have potential problems and provide a way forward to resolve these issues. In addition, tool self-packs in MSIs applications, App-V or packets of streaming Citrix Presentation Server. Awesome! We are really excited about the App-DNA team to become a part of Citrix. The AppTitude available today with existing App-DNA partners.

• I applications that are best suited to deploy in the way I currently deploy them .... Can I do?
  For applications that are used by a small group of users or can be difficult to deploy via application virtualization, Citrix offers a solution. The personal vDisk Citrix, which came with the acquisition of RingCube, is the way to go. The personal vDisk, as its name suggests, offers private storage for departmental applications to be fully deployed with existing software distribution methods. It does this by providing a persistent space, storage for personal applications, settings and application data that is independent of the main image. Currently available as a feature of XenDesktop 5.5 Early Access, many customers are trialing abilities today.

I caught up with the events team to understand more about the processing center office and how it is behind the entire infrastructure in the Summit and Synergy. ! The glass center in the main focus is to attract a large number of attending and rightly so, it's pretty cool

order, as for our clients in their business environments, was cenetralise and simplify the IT events. With office processing infrastructure, we have consolidated many previously separate functions that allow us to considerably reduce the number of our VM. This means that the team was able to reduce exponentially the number of virtual hosts by turning on and off capacity on demand that would be done in the real enterprise datacenter.

The same can be said of the Citrix booth, we used to have demonstrations that only take up to 0 VMs, but regrouped in consolidating VM instead of dedicated VM, we have reduced 0 1 VM VM, so in this example, we achieved a reduction of 9,000% of the capacity.

We followed our own best practices and savings of astronomical resources and improved management.
