At the dawn of the new year, the Citrix channel team deployed the first of many Enablement resources that will enable our partners to take full channels advantage of the growing interest and demand for virtualization solutions. Leading the way is our announcement of Citrix Academy.

As part of our renewed channel vision that promises to provide the partner community with expanded tools, knowledge and information they need to sell more Citrix and more profitable products, Citrix Academy is a six-week training program of world class specifically designed to help develop technical resources, build and manage Citrix Desktop Virtualization projects.

Available exclusively to current partners, the program is a global business, conducted in -person the Citrix campus in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Santa Clara, CA. The course led by an instructor guides students through all of the basic design and troubleshooting Citrix XenServer key products such as XenDesktop, XenApp and Netscaler to complex integration, optimization and scalability, using the same tools, best practices, the framework and methods that Citrix uses to train our technical staff.

the course graduates receive a Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA) certification, the highest and most prestigious Citrix credentials available. We would encourage anyone with experience in Windows networks and Microsoft Active Directory, and Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) XenDesktop 5 certification, XenApp 6 and XenServer 5 or 6 for Citrix Academy and CCIA certification of their program training for 2012.

In addition to Citrix Academy in January 13 e we announced and published our 2012 Partner Enablement Calendar for the Americas. This program consists of over 0 events organized in every major metro in the Americas.

These toll free 1 day workshops cover a wide variety of sales, demand generation and technical subjects. If you are looking for technical content, you will find a number of workshops covering everything from XenDesktop Netscaler, all without cost for current levels of all partners.

I am particularly pleased to announce that, for the first time, we will provide sales training to our partners. These trainings 1.5 days taking advantage of the same company, same instructors and even content that Citrix uses annually to train our internal sales teams. This means that partners will be able to use the same language sales, sales techniques and sales tools that our sales representatives use. I'm really looking forward to this will create alignment between the two groups.
