How OpenVPN using Ubuntu Network Manager and VPN Service Anonymous TorGuard
This tutorial describes the OpenVPN configuration on Ubuntu Linux using the built in Network Manager.It can also be easily adapted to other desktop based on Gnome Linux distributions.1.) First, open a terminal and enter the following command to install the Network Manager plug-in for OpenVPN. Since it is an addiction, required OpenVPN binaries will be installed. Although Network Manager is already installed, , it needs to be reinstalled forced to have the newly installed components properly registered in the system Type the following command in the terminal :. $ sudo apt-get install --reinstall network-manager-gnome network-manager network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome
then we need to make network manager aware of the newly installed feature. In Terminal, type: $ sudo service network-manager restart
2) Then download the TorGuard OpenVPN configuration files and save and unzip them at. . your office You can download configs: http://torguard.net/downloads/TorGuardPRO.zip 3) Click Manager icon network. bar and top menu select "Edit Connections ..."
4.) In the Network Connections menu click "import".
5.) for VPN connection type, select "OpenVPN" and click create ...
6). then we need to select the TorGuard OpenVPN configuration to the server that you would like to connect. In our example, we connect to TorGuard.Canada18.ovpn
7.) All the necessary OpenVPN parameters will now be imported. In the username and password box enter TorGuard the VPN connection information that was sent to you in your activation email. Click Save.
8.) The VPN connection has now been added to your list of network connections manager!
