How to configure PPTP VPNs with Service DDWRT using TorGuard -

This tutorial will guide you step by step in setting up the VPN Anonymous TorGuard service with a router DDWRT PPTP enabled. For this tutorial, we will assume that your router has already been flashed with DD-WRT firmware, and the IP address of your router is set to 192.168.1.1. You must also be sure that your router has first access to the Internet and your local network and the ISP configuration allows PPTP or L2TP / IPsec.

Log on to DDWRT router via an Ethernet cable or by connecting to the wireless network "dd -wrt". Open a new Web browser and access the following address: http://192.168.1.1 (Please first define your network connection to "obtain an IP address automatically" if you connect via ethernet

then go to the configuration. then select the basic configuration.

Under connection Type, select PPTP.

Under Use DHCP select Yes.
Under the bridge (PPTP server) enter the TorGuard PPTP server IP address you want to connect. These IP addresses can be found in your activation e-mail as well as your username VPN and password. Under "user name" enter your username TorGuard VPN (your email address).
Under Password, enter your TorGuard VPN password.
Click to Enable PPTP Encryption.
Click to clear STP
Click MTU manual change and set 1460 as the value.
Enter an IP address for the DD-WRT hotspot. Note, if this is the second router, you must set another local IP address then your main router. (Default is 192.168.1.1, if your connected to another router, you must set it to 192.168.1.2
Enable DHCP server and uncheck all three checkboxes to 'Use dnsmasq for PTD', 'Use dnsmasq for DNS "and" DHCP-authoritarian. "
Click Apply settings
Click security and then Firewall -Fire and set to Off SPI Firewall.
then click security then click VPN passthrough, and PPTP passthrough activate .
Click Apply settings.
To make the settings take effect, click the administration tab, scroll down and click Reboot Router.
After the router restarts, it should now automatically connect to the VPN, you can now check the connection status going status -> WAN tab. If Connection Status Connected say then it is OK, otherwise click to connect abut wait 30 seconds and see if your IP has been changed on www.whatismyip.com
