China steps up online censorship music -

It seems that almost every day there is news about how China is cracking down on freedom of expression on the internet. Social media is almost nonexistent without the use of a VPN as TorGuard, and content itself begins to be banned or taken down so users can not access at all.

The Chinese Ministry of Culture now requires companies like Baidu and Tencent (or any business that provides or simply hosts the content online) have specialized teams to censor offensive songs from their catalogs.

This means that the hip-hop fans might have tons more content available. Already, there have been dozens of rap songs on the blacklist with the authorities claiming that these songs encourage violence and obscenity.

After controlling for social media, content blogs, and Google itself, China is now finally closing in on the music industry "keep clean" of the offensive, pornographic, and content cultural inappropriate. The latter category can include virtually everything. The Great Firewall of China is becoming more and more threatening every day.

The new rules also cover censorship of music videos. To seal the deal, the Chinese authorities are also demanding media providers to submit quarterly reports to the government showing their dedication to what extent they regulate content.

If this happened in August (0 songs "explicit" were banned) was an indication. Music is about to take a serious blow to China.

Fortunately for Chinese users, TorGuard VPN can bypass the restrictions of censorship by providing access to content available in other countries that are not censored. TorGuard is powered by OpenVPN technology but special TorGuard Stealth VPN provides a hidden encrypted IP address through a virtual tunnel through obfuscation. The Proxy TorGuard Mute function is a double layer of security that hides a VPN handshake.
