BBC tries to block VPN access to iPlayer -

BBC iPlayer is a popular service streaming media used worldwide. It features hot new shows, and is a great way to catch up on some missed television. Suffice it to say, many people had iPlayer remote access in different countries. They did this through a VPN service, allowing them to change their IP address and use the streaming platform.

This "trick" VPN is an attractive way for people to get access to their content they want, and bypass corporate license blocks that restrict content based on the region. You have seen us write in other suppliers such as Cast NFL game, or the Premier League. Now the BBC has had enough, and they are apparently compromising their user base in the UK to control their monetization.

iPlayer, it is true, is meant for the UK only plays. But that did not stop people from using the VPN software to access the content. To stop these efforts, the BBC is using what I would call a "nuke" approach. People trying to access the service outside the UK now receive this message "BBC iPlayer television programs are available to play in the UK only. The nuke approach also strikes all BBC users using the VPN software. This means that the BBC requires its users in the UK to decide whether they want the security of a VPN or access iPlayer.

Try to explain, BBC explains how they " regularly updates of our technology to help prevent access to BBC iPlayer outside the UK that breaks our team to use. "You may be wondering why the BBC is so concerned about the outside. It has everything to do with attracting foreign broadcasters to buy programming from the BBC. Foreign TV companies will lose interest if much is already to access iPlayer content. in short, it is all about money. A BBC report quoted himself over 60 million users access iPlayer abroad.

Although the ideal solution for the BBC (from a firm monetary point of view) would be to cut VPN users outside their service boundary in the UK, and not those within, they can not distinguish adequately between VPN users outside the UK and within. They made a statement explaining how they "can not help users using VPNs, as [they] can not be sure of the end user." This is due to the nature of the VPN. It effectively mask an IP address and can change its virtual location.

BBC is not a real solution for the way he is treating his VPN user base in the UK. He chose (I think entirely voluntary) to sacrifice some goodwill in the British community VPN to maximize profits internationally. And you want to know the best part?

Despite the BBC's efforts to control access to their iPlayer, TorGuard VPN is always a solution for its users.

Unlocking iPlayeblockage BBC TorGuard with VPN:

TorGuard has already added new IP addresses for its user base which should allow you to unlock BBC iPlayer. So when you select your UK server to connect to the BBC iPlayer you should not have a problem. If you can somehow have problems accessing, you can contact our 24/7 customer support, and we will provide you a new IP address released!
